David Donaldson has 31 years of experience litigating all types of business, financial and complex civil cases. Mr. Donalson has an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Donaldson was selected for inclusion on the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Alabama “Super Lawyers” lists and he was selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Donaldson has been counsel of record in thirty-five federal and state appellate decisions. He frequently lectures on topics related to business litigation, the prosecution and defense of class actions, covenants not to compete, misuse of trade secrets, law office technology and lender liability under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
At the invitation of Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, Mr. Donaldson testified in 2002 before the Senate Banking Committee’s hearing on Predatory Mortgage Lending.
Mr. Donaldson graduated in 1975 from the Universityof Alabamaat Birminghamwith a BA degree in History and Philosophy. He received a Dean’s Scholarship to Cumberland School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He graduated cum laudefromCumberland in 1980.
