Edward G. Hawkins, founder of Hawkins Law Firm, L.L.C. in Mobile, Alabama, has practiced law for more than 30 years. Today, Mr. Hawkins principally represents people who have been wronged or harmed in some way by other individuals, employers or businesses, recent examples of which include mold litigation, termite litigation, flood litigation and defective products litigation. Mr. Hawkins also occasionally represents selected corporations and individuals in the paper, timber, hotel, real estate, oil and gas, and natural gas pipeline industries in both trials and in transactions.
Mr. Hawkins graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970. After a brief stint in the oil and gas industry, he attended University of Texas School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1974. Later that same year, he was admitted to the Alabama State Bar. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, the United States Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hawkins' professional associations include the American Association for Justice and the Society of Outstanding Lawyers of America.
