Profile

After serving as law clerk for U.S. District Judge Robert Varner, Jones began practice in Birmingham with the firm of Starnes & Atchison. He joined Beasley Allen in 1994 and now manages the Toxic Torts section of the firm, as well as maintaining an active practice in predatory lending and class action litigation. He is currently involved in toxic exposure cases in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Missouri and New Jersey. Among the cases Jones' section is now investigating is the Coal Ash Spill at a Kingston, Tenn., TVA power plant last December, which dumped 1.1 billion gallons of toxic coal ash sludge over 300 acres; and Leaking Underground Storage Tanks, which store petroleum and other hazardous substances and which, when compromised, create contamination that may damage the environment and pose a hazard to human health.  See www.beasleyallen.com/attorney/rhon-jones/
