Bob Richmond, senior partner at Richmond & Quinn, graduated from high school in Kodiak, worked as a commercial fisherman, attended college at Georgetown, served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict, and graduated from the University of Oregon law school. Since the founding of Richmond & Quinn more than 25 years ago, he has been trying cases throughout Alaska, involving personal injury, air crashes, product liability, and employment issues. He and the firm were counsel representing the third mate in the Exxon Valdez litigation, and successfully got all claims dismissed. He tried the Bethel High School shooting case, and he has defended various air carriers in trials throughout the state. Bob has lectured in Alaska and at international conferences on trial-related issues. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, is active in IADC and FDCC, two of the premier defense lawyer organizations, and is a Proctor in Admiralty.
