Paul is a member of O'Steen & Harrison, PLLC. He joined the firm in 1996, and practices in the areas of personal injury, ethics, professional malpractice, defective products and wrongful employment practices. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Medical and Research Ethics at Midwestern University and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he instructs current health care providers and students in the medical field. He is also a Designated Real Estate Broker in the State of Arizona. Paul is a nationally recognized expert and speaker in the area of ethics.
He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 (B.A. with High Distinction), where he was admitted to the academic honorary society Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989 (Juris Doctorate Cum Laude). He served as an editor of the California Western Law Review-International Law Journal and was the chief editor of the California Western Directory. He received a master's degree in bioethics in 2004 (M.A. in Bioethics), where he graduated with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Friedman also received a Doctorate of Philosophy in 2006 (Ph.D. Magna Cum Laude), where his dissertation was entitled "Morality and Ethics: An Analysis of Medical Legal and Business Ethics from a Casuist Perspective". Paul was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1989 (section member of trial practice; employment and labor law), the State Bar of Colorado in 1992, the District of Columbia and the Federal Bar in 2004. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Arizona, the United States District Court of Arizona, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
He is a member of the: American Bar Association (section member of health law, science and technology; and labor law); American Association for Justice (section member of toxic, environmental and pharmaceutical torts and health care sections dealing with traumatic birth injuries and traumatic brain injuries); The American Trial Lawyers Association (Top 100 Trial Lawyers); Arizona Trial Lawyers Association; National Board of Trial Advocacy; American Society for Bioethics and Humanities; Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University; American Society of Human Genetics; American Society for Law, Ethics and Humanities; National Association of Realtors®; and the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Paul is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is Certified by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation.
