“We still take pride in fighting for the little guy,” says partner Andy Gillin, noting that all the partners began their careers in public service. The cases have become larger and more complex along the way, but that hasn’t changed the firm’s focus. The one-on-one relationship between attorney and client remains a hallmark of the firm. To that end, the firm has become increasingly selective about its caseload, focusing on quality over quantity.
Caring about clients The firm specializes in personal injury cases, and its attorneys take only the cases they believe in for people they care about, says partner Luke Ellis. “Catastrophic injury cases require extraordinary attention to detail,” he says. “We are committed to being extremely selective in order to maximize our creativity and intensity on the cases we do accept.”
By keeping the caseload manageable, Ellis explains, the attorneys are afforded the time to work up every aspect of a case and to develop a personal connection with the client. “That connection gives us the extra fight and determination to overcome what would otherwise be the insurmountable resources that corporate defendants and insurance companies possess.”
