- I was invited to attend and participate in the The Startup America: Reducing Barriers event, which was sponsored by the White House and the Small Business Administration. As stated in their invitation, "The Startup America: Reducing Barriers event is a regional platform that allows federal agencies to hear directly, from entrepreneurs and local leaders like you, how we can achieve our goal of reducing the barriers faced by America’s entrepreneurs. Senior Obama administration officials need input on what changes are needed to build a more supportive environment for entrepreneurship." As I was out of town for that event, I met separately with Doug Rand, of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, to provide my feedback on issues facing foreign entrepreneurs wanting to open start up businesses and hire US workers.

- I spoke at the Hastlings Civil Justice Center in the spring of 2010; and for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Society in October 2012.
- Along with six other AILA immigration attorneys who work routinely with foreign entrepreneurs and start-up companies, drafted a memorandum for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, at this agency's request.
