Profile

Cynthia McGuinn is a partner of the San Francisco law firm of Rouda, Feder, Tietjen & McGuinn, where she focuses her practice on representing individuals in complex consumer, personal injury, wrongful death, professional negligence and product liability cases. Cynthia has a particularly extensive track record of success with jury trials involving substantial damages, securing eight-figure verdicts in a number of previous cases. Her proven ability to read and connect with jurors, and to explain complex legal and technical information clearly, are rare qualities that frequently lead other attorneys to seek out her advice for impending trials and for direct assistance in trying such cases as well.

Cynthia was the first woman president of the San Francisco chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and she is a fellow of several invitation-only organizations as well, including The International Society of Barristers, the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, which is an association limited to 600 members worldwide. She is also an author and frequent lecturer on trial practice topics and has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career, including the 2003 Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and recognition as a "Top Woman Litigator" in California every year since 2005.
