Daniel J. Kelly is a partner at the San Francisco-based firm of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger. Since his admission to the California Bar in 1970, Daniel has focused his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits involving various causes, with a particular emphasis on medical negligence and hospital liability claims. Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Santa Clara School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Santa Clara Law Review for the 1967-68 academic year. That Daniel's strong interest in legal scholarship has remained constant is evident in his published works, which include several articles and "The California Practice Guide: Personal Injury" (co-author, published by the Rutter Group, 1984-2000).

Mr. Kelly holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has been invited or elected to membership in prestigious, highly selective legal associations such as the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Society of Barristers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Daniel is also an active member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the State Bar of California and the American Association for Justice.

*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.
