Profile

Heidi Timken has been a real estate litigator since 1992.  She began her career with Miller Starr Regalia, where she practiced for 14 years, 7 years as a partner, before starting her own real esate law firm in 2006, with two partners from Miller Starr.  Heidi specializes in eminent domain and inverse condemnation and has litigated against many public agencies and government entities, including BART, Caltrans and San Bernardino County.  She has also defended numerous large and complex litigation matters and has represented title companies, national banks and high net worth individuals throughout her career.  Heidi has extensive trial experience and is particularly skilled in the use of technology in the courtroom.  Heidi has argued a number of cases in the California Courts of Appeal.  In recognition of the rising costs of litigation, and as much as she enjoys trial, one of Heidi's hallmarks in recent years has been to urge her clients and opposing parties to engage in early mediations with significant rates of success.
