Profile

After 13 years as a Trial Attorney with the Federal Public Defender, Sacramento, I now handle all aspects of criminal and civil practice, litigation, and appeals in state and federal courts throughout the country. One highlight was taking a federal criminal case from arraignment all the way to briefing and oral argument in the United States Supreme Court, January 2006, arguing on the origin and history of the Fourth Amendment. I have handled a large number of high-profile cases intensely scrutinized by the national media. I maintain a talented staff, accepting a limited number of cases to ensure quality work.
