Mr. Schrimp has been active in the practice of complex business and antitrust litigation in state and federal courts involving taxation, estate planning and probate, real property, corporate and agricultural law for over 40 years. He has presented cases before various state and local agencies, including planning commissions, city councils, boards of supervisors, and the State Board of Equalization. Mr. Schrimp also has extensive experience in general business law and in complex commercial litigation. Trial experience includes jury and court trials involving commercial transactions, real estate, class actions, securities laws, environmental law, antitrust, and agricultural law. Mr. Schrimp has handled cases in federal and/or state courts in the State of California, as well as in other states. Mr. Schrimp graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. degree in 1963. He received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley in 1966, where he was a winner of the Moot Court competition. Mr. Schrimp received a Master of Laws in Taxation from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1982.

- Mr. Schrimp received the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America National Council in 2004. Mr. Schrimp is AV rated with Martindale-Hubbell.
Bar/Professional Activity:
- Mr. Schrimp was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1966 and practices before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, U.S. District Court, Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Court of Claims. Mr. Schrimp is a member and former President of the Stanislaus County Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bar Association Agricultural Committee Section on Taxation, and the State Bar of California. Mr. Schrimp is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, American Judicature Society, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA), and National Eagle Scout Association.
Pro bono/Community Service:
- Mr. Schrimp is an active leader in community affairs. He is Chairman of the Board of Oak Valley Community Bank and, since 1976, he has been a member of the Rancheros Visitadores, of which he is currently El Presidente. He has also served as President of a number of other organizations, including Oakdale Rotary, Oakdale Shriner Club, American Cancer Society, Oakdale Dinner Club, and Chair of the Oakdale Airport Commission. Mr. Schrimp has held a number of voluntary positions with the Boy Scouts of America, including President of the Greater Yosemite Council, President of Area III, and Vice President of the Western Region. He currently serves on the National Executive Board and is Chairman of the International Committee of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Schrimp was appointed in 1996 by Governor Wilson to serve a six-year term on the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges and was confirmed unanimously by the Senate in 1997. He served as President of the Board in 1998-1999. In 1999 he was appointed to the California Post Secondary Education Commission. Also, he currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the California State Parks Foundation.
