For more than 20 years, Timothy D. Martin has been a family law specialist certified by the State Bar of California. The founder of the Martin Family Law Firm in San Mateo, California, he strives to provide his clients with alternatives to costly litigation such as representation by way of collaborative practice, private judging and mediation.
Mr. Martin played an instrumental role in developing the San Mateo County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program in 1996. He also co-founded the legal practice group Collaborative Practice San Mateo County (CPSMC).
An AV-rated* attorney, Mr. Martin is a published author and frequent lecturer on family law topics. In 1991, he served as president of the San Mateo County Bar Association. He is also a leader in the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and an advanced practitioner in the Association for Conflict Resolution.
Mr. Martin graduated with his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
