Profile

Timothy (Tim) G. Tietjen is the managing partner of the San Francisco law firm of Rouda, Feder, Tietjen & McGuinn. As an attorney, Tim has been representing seriously injured persons and their families in complex personal injury claims for more than 25 years and has a particular focus on cases involving construction site accidents, product liability law and trucking accidents. He loves a challenge and has consistently been successful with cases other attorneys have turned down as being too difficult or complex. Tim's unwavering commitment to excellence and his willingness to go the extra mile for the people he represents have led to a number of outstanding results over his career, including a $29 million settlement related to an electrocution accident, which remains one of the largest recoveries ever secured in California for an injured worker.

Tim is the past president of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (1999), is an actively involved member of several professional organizations, and has lectured and published extensively on tort litigation topics. Tim also holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has repeatedly been selected for inclusion in the Northern California Super Lawyers listings.

*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.
