Mark Hansen represents mostly insurers, but sometimes the insured, in bad faith and coverage litigation. He also defends lawyers and financial advisors from malpractice claims. Clients on both sides of serious personal injury claims vouch for his skills.
Recognized as a skilled and ethical attorney, he made the San Diego Super Lawyers® list in 2010 and 2011, and has been continuously AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell for 17 years. Before forming his own firm in 2008, he was a partner in the insurance litigation group at Luce Forward, where he spent 26 years.
Hansen is an Order of the Coif graduate of BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he served as the Law Review’s editor-in-chief. A former law clerk of Judge J. Clifford Wallace, he served as Chair of the State Bar’s Litigation Section in 1995-96, and was the second Editor-in-Chief of California Litigation.
