Attorney Michael S. Berg has nearly 30 years of criminal law experience. His defense record includes numerous high-profile cases, including the alleged point-shaving scandal at the University of San Diego and the George Jakubec case involving home-made explosives at a California residence.
Michael has his own practice in San Diego and is well prepared to handle even the most complex criminal law matters. He has been the attorney of record on nearly 40 homicide cases since 1990 and recently helped a client obtain a "not guilty" verdict in a first-degree murder by gunshot case.
A former judge pro tem for the San Diego Superior Court traffic division, he is also a member in good standing with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association and the California Public Defender’s Association. Dedicated to the community, Michael serves on the advisory committee for Pro Kids Junior Golf and is president of the Rancho Coastal Humane Society Board of Directors. Michael Berg handles federal crimes and state cases throughout all San Diego County.
