Norman is a California employment law attorney that dedicates his practice to litigating class action lawsuits on behalf of groups of employees, consumers and investors when big companies commit illegal and fraudalent activity. Norman has obtained over $1.3 billion in settlements and judgments in class action lawsuits.

CALIFORNIA WAGE & HOUR CLASS ACTION LITIGATION

As the managing partner at the California employment law firm of Blumenthal, Nordrehaug & Bhowmik, Norman currently focuses his practice on wage and hour litigation involving unpaid overtime and other California Labor Code violations such as the failure to reimburse employees for work related expenses and violating California vacation pay laws. Norman offers California employees free legal consultations to help them assess whether they have a viable lawsuit against their current or former employer for violating state pay laws or the Fair Labor Standards Act. Blumenthal, Nordrehaug & Bhowmik works on a contingent fee basis, meaning that employees never pay the law firm attorneys' fees unless the employment attorneys win the employees money.

Norman also has significant experience in other types of class action litigation. In particular, the class action attorneys at Blumethal, Nordrehaug & Bhowmik have a long, successful history of litigating class action claims on behalf of consumers and investors. Currently, Norman is focusing on litigation relating to unpaid employee benefits and pensions. As a baby boomer himself, Norman recognizes that pension plans are under funded by trillions of dollars and strives to do his part to make sure that retiring employees and consumers get all of the benefits they were promised upon retirement.

LANDMARK LAWSUITS & CASES

Norman has been involved in many landmark lawsuits. In 2001, as a result of Jordan v. California DMV, the legislature refunded over 700 million dollars that it had charged out of state drivers for a smog impact fee. Norman also successfully led the charge against the City of San Diego when it sought to remove many of the seals from La Jolla.
