Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP (FMBK) was founded in 1996 with a focus on family law, probate and estate planning, real estate and commercial litigation. Someone once said that if you want to get something done, ask a busy person. That person is Robert C. Brandt, CFLS†. In addition to being the head of FMBK’s Family Law Department, Brandt has been recently granted a fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Family Law Section Executive Committee. “Everyone needs to find a balance between their personal, professional and charitable commitments,” Brandt says. “We encourage our attorneys to find the right balance for themselves, such as participating on bar association committees or becoming a member of the board of a nonprofit organization.”

Steven A. Mindel, CFLS†, managing partner of FMBK, has been named to the Top 100 Southern California Super Lawyers® list. “My work as the Co-President of University Synagogue in Brentwood fills a part of my life that working for my clients cannot,” he says. “I find a spiritual fulfillment from the Synagogue and an academic and intellectual fulfillment from the work I do for my clients. This balance is very important to everyone at FMBK.”

Maritoni A. Acosta, CFLS†, named to Rising Stars, and Howard S. Klein, CSEPTPL††, named to Southern California Super Lawyers, find their balance via writing, lecturing and presenting their work on probate/family law crossover issues and domestic partnerships for unmarried and same sex couples at continuing legal education events. These events bring them in contact with various professionals who face the difficult task of dealing with these special circumstances.
