The R. Rex Parris Law Firm opened in 1985 with founder R. Rex Parris and his wife as the only employees. Today the firm has nearly 70 employees and is renowned as a leader in the area of civil justice. Throughout the ensuing 23 years, the firm has grown steadily while remaining focused on its founder’s goal of successfully protecting hard-working families.

Beginning in 1987 when he obtained the first award in Kern County in excess of $1 million, to a recent $10.2 million verdict, Parris has consistently earned his clients’ trust and his peers’ respect. Innovative trial strategies, cutting-edge courtroom technology and exhaustive pretrial investigation have added up to numerous multimillion-dollar awards and settlements. When claims adjustors for two major insurance companies needed someone to protect their rights to overtime pay, they knew which attorney could do the job. Parris obtained $120 million and $135 million recoveries in their class action lawsuits.

Parris devotes significant time and funds to helping troubled youth and eradicating child abuse. He is the founder of the Lancaster Child Abuse Task Force, the co-founder of Antelope Valley War on Gangs and Crime and currently the mayor of Lancaster.

Parris travels throughout the country to speak to other lawyers and he serves on the board of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. This is the third consecutive year Parris was named in Southern California Super Lawyers®.
