Alex McGilvray's practice focuses on corporate and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and other corporate finance matters including venture capital and angel investor transactions and general corporate, partnership and limited liability company matters. Alex has been appointed on several occasions by the SIPC to act as trustee or legal counsel for a trustee appointed for the liquidation of insolvent securities brokerage firms under the Securities Investor Protection Act of 1970. In addition to his duties as a corporate and business lawyer, Alex has served as Clark & Trevithick's managing principal for the last approximately 15 years. Alex received a bachelor's degree in economics, with distinction, from Stanford University in 1971 and earned a law degree at UCLA School of Law in 1974.
