Bret Hunter has 20 years of legal experience in the public, corporate and private sectors, with the last twelve devoted strictly to complex family law litigation and child custody matters. Bret's background in family law includes exposure to high-end and celebrity litigants involved in asset-intensive dissolution disputes -- experienced gained while associated with two of the largest, most-respected and nationally-recognized family law firms in the country.  A National Merit Scholar, Bret completed his undergraduate studies with dual Bachelor's Degrees with honors in 1989 at the University of Michigan in only three years, obtained his J.D. at Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1992 as the youngest in his class, and subsequently completed his M.A. in Psychology at Emory University in Atlanta in 2001.  

Bret started his legal career as a Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill for the House of Representatives' Energy & Commerce Committee in Washington, D.C., and recently moved from the top divorce firm in California, Trope and Trope, to start his own thriving private practice in Beverly Hills.  Bret endeavors to provide specialized expertise to clients who need a family law attorney while offering a more cost-effective option to the high billable rates typical of LA's largest family law firms.  Bret is licensed to practice law in California, Georgia and Texas, and is a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization.
