D. Edward Hays is a founding member of Marshack Hays LLP, located in Irvine, Calif. His practice includes large and small business and bankruptcy matters, with a focus on representing debtors, creditors, committees, and bankruptcy trustees in all aspects of bankruptcy, reorganization, and insolvency counseling. Mr. Hays’ recent published cases include: In re Dick Cepek, 339 B.R. 730 (9th Cir. BAP 2006); In re Rinard, 451 B.R. 12 (Bankr. C.D. Cal. 2011); and In re Four Star Financial Services, Inc., 444 B.R. 428 (Bankr. C.D. Cal. 2011). Mr. Hays graduated in 1992 from the University of Southern California Law Center, where he was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. He serves on the board of directors for the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, USC School of Law Annual Fund, CSUF Philanthropic Foundation, and Conference of California Bar Associations. Mr. Hays has also served on numerous other committees, including as president of the CSUF Alumni Association and as chair of the Orange County Bar Association’s Resolutions Committee and Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section.
