As the economy and the real estate market have been faltering, Daniel P. Stimpert has gained a reputation as the "go-to" real estate litigation expert, in both commercial and residential matters. Stimpert has been representing real estate developers, property managers and owners in their transactional needs, unlawful detainer cases, lease compliance issues, rent control and defending property owners in personal injury cases. He also represents plaintiffs in personal injury claims and has been awarded several judgments close to and in excess of $1 million.
Stimpert was first admitted to practice in Minnesota in 1988 and then in California in 1990. He received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Minnesota in 1982. After serving in the United States Air Force, he received his juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1988. He also served a two-year judicial clerkshop for The Hon. Hyam Segell, Judge of District Court in St. Paul, Minnesota. Stimpert has been a mediator, arbitrator and temporary judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court since 1999.
