Ellen Friedman Tinero has been exclusively practicing family law for the past 21 years. She is the founding partner of Tinero, Aharonov, and Associates, A Family Law Practice LLP. The firm handles all aspects of family law matters and is dedicated to providing personal service and attention to a wide range of clients. Ms. Tinero has earned a reputation for resolving difficult and high-conflict cases.  Unlike other firms, the members of Tinero, Aharonov and Associates act as a team striving to try and resolve matters amicably and cost-efficiently, as well as focus on the well-being of the children in custody disputes.

Ellen is also an experienced Certified Family Law Mediator on the panel for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She has mediated and successfully resolved almost all of her cases in private practice and for the Los Angeles Superior Court Mediation and ADR programs.  In addition, Ms. Tinero has served as Judge Pro Tem and is a Mediator for Los Angeles Superior Courts and an Arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Attorney/Client Fee Disputes. She is an active member and was recently Chair of the San Fernando Valley FLEXCOM  Executive Family Law Committee of the San Fernando Valley Family Law Section.  Ellen currently serves as Co-Program Chair for the Family Law Section of the San Fernando Valley Bar. Ms. Tinero is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar, San Fernando Valley Bar and the American Bar Associations. 

As a means to encourage parties to resolve matters amicably and cost effectively, Ms. Tinero also founded the Family Law Mediation Center which has provided Mediation for all family law matters, including Dissolution, Paternity and post Judgment issues.  As a Mediator/Family Law attorney, Ms. Tinero works as a neutral facilitator to offer options and assist the parties in reaching a mutual Agreement.  Family Law Mediation Center is a separate practice that is specifically designed to work with parties who want to avoid litigation and settle their matters in a collaborative and less stressful manner.  

Ms. Tinero has been selected by Family Law attorneys and Judicial Officers to mediate and successfully resolve cases that have been stagnant and often highly litigious.  She has mediated and resolved several cases where the parties had been unable to reach a settlement either with representation or on their own. 

In addition, Tinero, Aharonov and Associates, A Family Law Practice, LLP, has an excellent reputation for its strong litigation skills and effectiveness in representing their clients in Court.  Ms. Tinero has received several commendations and accolades from Judicial Officers and her peers for her high ethics and effectiveness in achieving the best possible results for her clients. She has been happily married for nearly 25 years and has two children.
