Hal Stanton received his Juris Doctorate from UCLA Law School in 1965, where he was Senior Editor of the Law Review. He served as California Deputy Attorney General before joining Loeb & Loeb as a civil litigator. In 1979, he became a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and in 2005-2006 was President of the Southern California chapter. Hal uses his business law background and negotiating skills to help clients avoid unnecessary litigation, and, when necessary, his experience and talent to prevail in the courtroom. In January 2005, he was Dean of the AAML's Institute for Trial Advocacy which featured Hal's short film, Marriage of Mardell. Hal practices law with his wife and partner, Marian L. Stanton.
