Attorney Howard B. Miller has an impressive resume spanning more than 50 years since his graduation from the University of Chicago Law School. A practicing attorney with the Los Angeles, California, firm of Girardi | Keese, Mr. Miller puts his vast experience to work on cases involving patent, copyright and other intellectual property litigation, as well as antitrust and general complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Miller successfully argued one of the most important recent U.S. intellectual property cases, Montz v. Pilgrims Films and NBC Universal (the argument can be viewed on YouTube under "Montz v. Pilgrim"). His other successes include outstanding results involving technologies from cancer radiation therapy to GPS location technology for cell phones. From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Miller served as the 85th president of the State Bar of California. He is also a former professor of law at the University of Southern California, and began his legal career as law clerk to Justice Roger J. Traynor of the Supreme Court of California. He has received numerous honors and awards acknowledging his outstanding practice of law.
