Verdicts and Settlements:
- A Buyer sued a Seller of commercial property for specific performance. The Seller sued the realtor for professional negligenc and other claims. The firm represented the realtor. Buyer (Plaintiff) prevailed against the Seller at trial. The firm successfully defended the realtor at trial. The motion for recovery of attorneys fees was granted. Seller appealed. The judgment for Plaintiff (Buyer) was reversed. The judgment for our client o the merits and for attornreys fees (Realtor) was AFFIRMED.
- Verdict of $4.45 million representing Plaintiff. Action for malicious prosecution. Underlying action patent infringement. (Mee Industires, Inc. v. Dow Chemical Co.), 2008
- Mr. Weissman was asked to represent and defend real estate brokers sued by a client for professional negligence after the clients (sellers) were sued by a buyer for specific performance. Mr. Weissman secured a defense verdict for the brokers at trial and recovered the client's attorneys fees and costs from the client., 2009
- Client attacked and beaten by a bouncer at a gay bar. Obtained recovery for personal injuries and emotional distress. (Name of parties and amount of settlement confidential.), 2010
- Plaintiff attacked and assaulted by another guest at banquet hall while attending a wedding. Serious personal injuries. Action against owner of the banquet hall and the assailant. Mr. Weissman was able to secure a seizable recovery for the client before trial. (Amount of settlement and identity of the parties is confidential.), 2010
- Plaintiff involved in a rear-end car accident, Carrier bullied client into a small settlement. Client then retained Weissman Law Firm. The settlement was not enforceable. Low ball offers. Succeeded at trial to obtain a verdict that was 6 times the offer made, plus allowable costs., 2011
