Although a more recent associate of Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP, Ivan Puchalt has been a longtime technical adviser of the firm. A trial attorney, he handles complex cases involving personal injury, employment law and municipal liability. Before obtaining his law degree, Mr. Puchalt worked as a litigation support expert, advising plaintiffs' attorneys on using digital media to make arguments "come alive" at trial or in mediation. In 1999, he assisted firm partner Christine Spagnoli in preparing visual materials for her closing arguments in a case that resulted in a $4.9 billion jury verdict. After obtaining his law degree from Loyola Law School in 2006, he joined the firm as a legal associate and has since handled high-profile and complex cases involving products liability, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and municipal liability. Some of his opponents have included Fortune 500 corporations as well as state and government entities, against which he has helped clients obtain million- and multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. Mr. Puchalt is an active member of the State Bar of California, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He also serves pro bono on the Young Professionals board of the Western Disability Rights Legal Center.
