James Blatt has dedicated his 34-year career to defending criminal cases. He has received the Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the San Fernando Valley Criminal Bar Association, and the Los Angeles Criminal Courts Bar Association's President's Award and California Lawyer magazine's Lawyers of the Year Award in 1998, both for his landmark victory before the United States Supreme Court. James Blatt also received the Los Angeles Criminal Courts Bar Association's Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2005. He currently represents Jesse James Hollywood, whose case is before the California Supreme Court and the subject of the major motion picture Alpha Dog.
