Profile

Mr. Isaacs serves as the Chief Assistant City Attorney and chief of the office's 300-attorney Criminal Branch. In 2008, he filed groundbreaking Unfair Competition Law actions against three of California's largest health insurers to put an end to their illegal rescission practices. He also instituted a first-of-its-kind process for ex-gang members to seek removal from gang injunctions, established a new Safe School Division to keep children safe from gangs and in school, and brought the first action under a new law authorizing prosecutors to sue gang members for monetary damages on behalf of the communities they harm.
