Profile

Louis DeWitt started the firm in 1975 after working as a prosecutor and then as an associate lawyer with another firm. Since the firm's inception, Mr. DeWitt, while successfully concluding hundreds of substantial injury and wrongful death cases, has also continued with an active criminal defense trial practice, with many high-profile cases. Mr. DeWitt has taken over 150 cases to trial. Over 20 years ago, Mr. DeWitt became involved in highly complex motor vehicle crashworthiness cases, including those against Mazda, General Motors, Ford, Toyota, and others, and he continues to represent clients in product liability, major injury, and wrongful death cases, including those involving watercraft. Mr. DeWitt is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
