Verdicts and Settlements:

  • I have defended many individuals in deportation proceedings. In court, I have won all my adjustment of status/green card application cases. In addition, I have represented individuals in cases for "cancelation of removal" cases and those that require a special waiver to forgive grounds of ineligibility. I have won the majority of these cases-even though the rate of approval across the country for cancelation of removal is only 4%.

Transactions:

  • I have succeeded in over 95% of employment-based and family-based transactional immigration cases with a variety of complex issues. For example, I served as immigration counsel during the acquisition of a biotechnology company by an international pharmaceutical company. In this capacity, I was trusted to counsel and obtain proper work visas for two of the Chief Officers, a Director, and a Manager. I have also represented scientists and a businessman in persuading the Immigration Services that they are individuals of "extraordinary ability" entitling them to special visa classification. Please see list of representative clients to see the caliber of my employment-based immigration work. I have had equal success in family-based cases. For example, I represented the deserving wife and mother of US citizens who was barred from entering the United States for 10 years. Even though her application for a special pardon with other counsel was already denied, I was able to win and allow her to join her family in the US. In another example, a couple was wrongly accused of marriage fraud. I successfully defended them to keep the green card. I have also won an appeal at the Board of Immigration Appeals for an elderly man whose green card was in jeopardy.
