Profile
Mr. Banker earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, gaining litigation experience in the school's legal clinic representing low-income plaintiffs, working with the Hon. Robert S. Hyatt and with a major Denver civil defense firm. He also competed in ABA sponsored national appellate advocacy competitions, receiving special recognition for his writing. Mr. Banker joined Chalat Hatten & Koupal upon graduation in 2007.
Mr. Banker co-chaired a premise liability trial in 2009 in which the jury awarded damages plus $100,000 in punitive damages against the defendant hotel. He also assisted in the 2010 trial in which the judge awarded $18.5 Million to our client, a victim of drunk driving accident.
Mr. Banker's practice focuses upon ski accidents, auto accidents and professional negligence. Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. Banker is an accomplished skier, using his expert knowledge when aggressively representing victims of ski accidents. Mr. Banker is licensed to practice in all Colorado state and federal courts.

- Assisted, or had primary responsibility for, multiple six-figure settlements in skier/skier, skier/snowboarder collision cases; Sole responsibility for achieving settlement of a soft-tissue injury motor vehicle collision with no discernable pathology in diagnostic imaging for approximatley $42,000.00. Medical bills in the case were less than $6,000.00.
