John L. Eckelberry is a partner with Willoughby & Eckelberry LLC, a Denver based firm emphasizing family law, bankruptcy, estate planning and fertility law. John has helped hundreds of clients achieve personal and financial "fresh starts." Willoughby & Eckelberry was listed in Forbes Magazine, as one of the Ten Most Dependable Family Law Attorneys of the West. John is in his fifth year on the Executive Council of the CBA Family Law Section as well as being elected the 2011-2012 Secretary for the Section. He is also a proud board member of the Metro Volunteer Lawyers, an organization that recruits and coordinates volunteer lawyers to perform free and low-cost legal services for people with no or very low income. John chairs the mentoring committees for both organizations, as he believes the mentoring role is invaluable in the legal profession and provides rewarding attributes for all individuals involved. He is also an elected board member for FACES (Family Advocacy, Care, Education, Support) and the King Foundation. John has taught several courses involving family law and bankruptcy as well as having had an article on voluntary un/under-employment published in the November 2005 Colorado Lawyer.
