Megan M. Sherr, J.D. is a founding Shareholder and President/CEO of Sherr Puttmann Akins Lamb PC.
Prior to opening Sherr Puttmann Akins Lamb PC, Megan was a Shareholder at Gutterman Griffiths PC from May 2005 until May 2010 and a Senior Associate at Gutterman Griffiths PC from December 2003 until May 2005.
Megan also served as a Deputy District Attorney for the City and County of Denver, Colorado from April 2000 until December 2003. During her tenure as a Deputy District Attorney, Megan was appointed by Bill Ritter to run a specialized juvenile federal grant program at the District Attorney's Office wherein she gained invaluable experience in family related legal matters. Accordingly, Megan obtained extensive court experience trying cases as well as researching and arguing pre-trial matters, including complex legal motions.
Since commencing her family law career in 2003, Megan has litigated, mediated and settled all types of family law cases, including dissolution cases, paternity actions, post decree cases, contempt citations, high asset cases, high conflict matters, and dependency and neglect cases. Megan is trained as a family law mediator and arbitrator.
Megan is a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Association and served as Co‑Chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s 2009 Family Law Institute Annual Conference.
In April 2009, Megan was highlighted in Colorado Expressions Magazine as a “Divorce Expert”, one of only ten Colorado Divorce Lawyers featured.
Megan is listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America for 2009 and 2010, the nation's most highly regarded listing of extraordinary lawyers.
