Profile

Michael Mihm's trial practice focuses on representing clients (mostly plaintiffs) in two areas: 1) legal malpractice lawsuits and 2) business fraud, business tort and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuits.  He also handles select catastrophic injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice lawsuits.  He serves as the managing editor of Lawyers' Professional Liability in Colorado, Second Ed. (Michael T. Mihm ed., CLE in Colorado, Inc., Supp. 2009). This two-volume, 42-chapter book focuses on legal ethics and lawyers' professional liability issues written by some of the most knowledgeable lawyers in Colorado.  Michael and his firm's lawyers contributed 7 chapters to the book.  He has been admitted to practice in state and federal courts in California since 1983 and in Colorado since 1985.  He handles litigation throughout the southwestern United States.  He has recently handled lawsuits in California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Texas.  About 50% of his practice is outside of Colorado.  In 2009, he tried cases to verdict in Texas and New Mexico.  On occasion, he also serves as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases.
