Joel T. Faxon handles personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, and product liability litigation. Highlights of Joel’s practice include Witt v. St. Vincent’s Medical Center, a medical malpractice case which led to a Supreme Court decision extending the statute of limitations for all victims of medical malpractice. Joel is a frequent lecturer and member of the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and is a contributing author of Truck Accident Litigation, published by the ABA in 2006. He has handled several important trials and appeals before the Connecticut Supreme Court and U.S. Circuit Courts that have served to protect and preserve the right to trial by jury.

- In 2005, obtained the largest settlement in history in a sexual abuse case involving a parish priest.
- Served as lead counsel in Barbarula v. Canal Insurance Co., 353 F.Supp.2d 246 (D.Conn.2004), which established a new basis for an insurer’s liability under federal trucking regulations.
- $30 million in combined settlements resulting from I-95 commercial trucking transit crash. Highest recovery at the time for single non-dependent wrongful death case in Connecticut history.
- $44 million in lifetime benefits obtained against a Connecticut hospital for a birth trauma case resulting in a child's permanent cerebral palsy.
