Profile

Richard L. Emerson practices in our Bethel and Southbury, Connecticut offices, where he concentrates on estate administration, probate, estate planning, and general corporate representation. He has mediated contested probate matters for other attorneys and has served as the Probate Judge in Redding, Connecticut for the past 30 years. He has also served as general counsel for numerous private and publicly traded companies, including bank holding companies in their mergers and acquisitions activities, and he recently assisted a publicly traded client in dividing ownership and going private. He received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and J.D. with Honors from George Washington University.
