Brenton Ver Ploeg is the founding partner of Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin, P.A., presently the largest firm in Florida limiting its practice to representing policyholders' interests. He received a B.S. from Northwestern University in 1969 and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1973, where he was a Note and Comment editor for the Hastings Law Journal. Ver Ploeg has extensive commercial and insurance litigation experience, including over two decades representing insurers, but now restricts his practice to the representation of policyholders in all varieties of insurance coverage and bad faith disputes.
