Bruce Alexander Minnick is a recognized expert in Labor and Employment Law, having been certified as an expert by The Florida Bar in 2003. Mr. Minnick has been involved heavily in  litigation and appeals of labor and employment law cases and civil rights cases since March 1981 when he was appointed to the position of assistant attorney general for the State of Florida by Attorney General Jim Smith.  In addition to his responsibilities as an assistant attorney general, in January 1985, Mr. Minnick was dually appointed to the inaugural position of Chief Advocate for the Florida Commission on Ethics, where he and his staff attorneys prosecuted many violations of the Florida Code of Ethics for Public Officers.  Mr. Minnick entered private practice in 1987 as a named partner in a Tallahassee law firm, Mang Rett & Minnick, P.A., where he continued defending Florida and her agencies and officials in all manner of civil rights and employment discrimination cases in the federal and state trial and appellate courts. In 1990 Mr. Minnick began taking selected plaintiffs' cases in the private sector while continuing his active Florida state agency defense practice.  In 1995 Mr. Minnick left Mang Rett & Minnick to form The Minnick Law Firm, where he still practices in the areas of business litigation, civil rights and labor and employment law, litigating cases on behalf of selected plaintiffs and small corporate defendants today.
