Profile

Bruce Alexander Minnick was certified in 2003 by The Florida Bar as an expert in the area of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Minnick has been involved heavily in litigation and appeals of labor and employment law cases, employment discrimination cases and many civil rights cases since March 1981 when he was appointed to the position of assistant attorney general for the State of Florida by Attorney General Jim Smith. In addition to his responsibilities as an assistant attorney general, in January 1985 Mr. Minnick was selected and appointed to the inaugural position of Chief Advocate for the Florida Commission on Ethics, where he and his staff of attorneys prosecuted serious violations of the Florida Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees.  In 1987 Mr. Minnick entered private practice as a named partner in a small Tallahassee law firm known as Mang Rett & Minnick P.A., where he continued defending the  State of Florida and her many state agencies, officials and employees in all manner of civil rights and employment discrimination cases in the federal and state trial and appellate courts. In 1991 Mr. Minnick began taking selected plaintiffs' cases (in the private sector) while continuing his active Florida state agency defense practice.  In December 1995 Mr. Minnick left Mang Rett & Minnick to form The Minnick Law Firm. Mr. Minnick has employed and/or supervised at least ten (10) civil trial attorneys. The Minnick Law Firm still practices in the areas of labor & employment law, employment discrimination defense, corporate general counsel, and small business litigation.  Mr. Minnick can be persuaded to take on a few high-profile civil rights cases from time-to-time as well.  Contact him at clients@minnicklaw.com

“Dollar for dollar my Standard Profile advertisement in Super Lawyers provided more positive feedback than any other marketing I’ve done in the past 20 years. Super Lawyers is a tremendous way to raise visibility, build credibility, and best of all, reaffirm the relationships I have worked so hard to establish.”
