Profile

Deborah Bovarnick Mastin is an Assistant County Attorney for Miami-Dade County. She is a Board Certified Construction Lawyer and a Certified Circuit Court Mediator and qualified arbitrator.  She earned her J.D., Northeastern University School of Law, and S.B., MIT School of Architecture. She is on the American Arbitration Association complex construction mediation and arbitration panels. Her practice concentrates on construction law and includes a $6 billion airport expansion, libraries, museums, and performing arts centers. She authored "Damages in Construction Litigation," Florida Civil Practice Damages, Sixth Ed., 2005, and articles on arbitration and mediation practices for complex construction disputes. She is a member of the ABA Construction Industry Forum, ABA Dispute Resolution Section, ABA Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division Council, Florida Bar Real Property Probate and Trust Law Construction Committee, Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section Executive Council, and the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.
