Hugo V. Alvarez is one of the founding partners of Alvarez & Barbara, LLP. He is a Miami native and attended the University of Maine on an athletic scholarship. Mr. Alvarez received his law degree from the Tulane University School of Law in 1998. Mr. Alvarez focuses his practice on civil litigation, including representation of individuals injured in catastrophic accidents, policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, and businesses involved in various disputes and real-estate-related litigation. Mr. Alvarez has handled complex cases throughout the State of Florida from inception through trial. Mr. Alvarez was honored by Business Leader Media with their 2009 Movers & Shakers Award. Mr. Alvarez currently serves on The Florida Bar's Grievance Committee and on the BASF Board of Directors.
