Jim McKenzie is the founder and managing partner of McKenzie & Hall, P.A., a Pensacola, Florida, law firm focusing on plaintiffs’ personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death claims, insurance claims, and Social Security Disability claims.
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of West Florida in 1970. He went on to earn a Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the University of Florida in 1973, where he served as executive editor of the Law Review. Jim was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. Over the course of his career, Jim has served on the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, which is now known as the Florida Justice Association. Jim has also received numerous professional awards and distinctions, including being board-certified in civil trial law by the Florida Bar - an honor only a small percentage of Florida attorneys can claim. Jim McKenzie’s name appears in several editions of Who’s Who in American Law as well as Who’s Who in the World. Jim has authored many articles and chapters for legal publications. He is a past president of the Easter Seals Society and director of the Five Flags Sertoma Club. In 2006, he was elected by his peers as one of the top 100 lawyers in Florida (voting conducted by Florida Super Lawyers magazine).
