Rebecca Mercier Vargas is a member of Kreusler-Walsh, Compiani & Vargas, P.A., a Florida appellate law firm with extensive experience in appeals and litigation support at both the state and federal levels. Ms. Vargas’ practice emphasis is on civil appeals and litigation support involving complex commercial, medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, class action, insurance, securities, marital and family law, and probate and trust law issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Vargas served as a law clerk at the Florida Supreme Court. In the years since, she has routinely argued the merits of her clients’ cases in district and appellate courts throughout Florida. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle districts of Florida.

Ms. Vargas is Board Certified as a specialist in appellate practice by the Florida Bar. She also holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has received numerous other honors and awards. She has served on two Florida Supreme Court committees and is on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc.  In addition, Ms. Vargas is a member of several professional organizations, including the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
