Sabrina Ferris is a business litigator whose experience includes complex commercial litigation and products liability actions in federal and state courts.  She has litigated matters involving commercial disputes, fiduciary relationships, products liability, shareholder disputes, employee non-competition agreements, fraud, class actions and insurance claims.  On the products liability front, Sabrina is a senior member of a trial team representing Lorillard Tobacco Company in defense of numerous products liability class action and individual smoking and health cases.  This representation includes being a member of the trial team for the industry in obtaining a defense jury verdict in an environmental tobacco smoke case.  On the commercial and business front, Sabrina was lead trial counsel representing a minority shareholder in dispute with the majority shareholder of a Miami-based operation generating significant profits and cash flow.  Sabrina successfully prosecuted claims regarding the percentage of equity ownership owned by the minority shareholder and involving complex business valuation methodologies and theories, resulting in a judgment of value in excess of three times the amount proposed by the majority shareholder.  Other representations include the successful disposition by summary judgment of claims brought against an executive search firm sued by its client for damages alleged to exceed $60 million, and second chair trial attorney in the successful defense of a financial institution on claims brought by a senior executive officer regarding employment benefits and breach of fiduciary duty.
