Stephen M. Fernandez is a personal injury attorney dedicated to providing strong representation for individuals injured in auto or motorcycle accidents, families with wrongful death claims and victims of wrongful insurance denials.
As part of the law firm of Shapiro, Goldman, Babboni & Walsh in Sarasota, Florida, Mr. Fernandez also handles cases involving premises liability, commercial trucking accidents, assault and battery, watercraft accidents and more. His skill and results have earned him a reputation as a zealous advocate and litigator on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Fernandez graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law. He is a member of multiple legal associations, including the Florida Justice Association, the Manasota Trial Lawyers Association's board of directors, the Sarasota Bar Association, the American Association of Justice and the Association of Plaintiff's Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America.
An avid fly-fisherman and conservationist, Mr. Fernandez has published articles on various law and conservation-related topics. In 2003, he was awarded the Barbara W. Makar award for his article "Captive-Bred Exceptions: An Unconventional Approach to Conservation Under the ESA," which was published in the UF Journal of Law and Public Policy.
