Profile
William M. Chanfrau Sr. is the founder of Chanfrau & Chanfrau, a plaintiff's personal injury and employment law firm serving clients in Daytona Beach and throughout central Florida. Bill, as his friends and clients know him, focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death claims. In total, he has been aggressively pursuing the interests of personal injury clients, within the rules and laws of the state of Florida, for more than 35 years. Bill has a strong belief in our civil justice system and, throughout his career, has fought to level what would otherwise be an imbalanced playing field, weighted heavily in favor of the liability insurance industry and corporate America.
Bill has been a board certified specialist in civil trial law every year since 1983, the first year that certification in this field was offered by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Bill has also received a variety of other awards and recognitions over the years, but he is perhaps most proud of his AV Preeminent* rating and of his inclusion in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers every year since 1996.
*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.
