For well over a decade, Ben C. Brodhead has been fighting to hold the trucking industry accountable when it recklessly injures or kills Georgia’s citizens. Brodhead’s hard work and accomplishments on behalf of his clients have earned him inclusion on the Georgia Super Lawyers® list for the fourth year in a row.
Brodhead, an honors graduate of Harvard Law School, has earned a reputation as the attorney to call when a trucking company causes serious injury or death. “I have referred several cases outside of my workers’ compensation practice to Ben Brodhead, and I am always amazed by the outstanding results he gets,” says fellow Georgia Super Lawyers honoree Jim Long. “They are usually several hundred thousand dollars higher than what I expected.”
“My team and I take great pride in getting the highest possible recoveries in our cases, and it is very satisfying when outstanding attorneys such as Jim Long recognize our efforts,” says Brodhead. Although Brodhead takes most types of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, he has dedicated a substantial portion of his practice to trucking litigation. Brodhead explains that a mastery of the state and federal regulations is necessary to properly litigate trucking cases, and there are only a handful of attorneys who have the required knowledge. “We know trucking law better than our opponents, and we use that knowledge to achieve the maximum recovery for our clients,” says Brodhead.
Brodhead has become well-known for his innovative case strategies. Over the past decade, Brodhead has re-shaped the way many law firms and insurance carriers view trucking cases, insurance bad-faith claims, and depositions of experts. As a frequent lecturer on these topics, Brodhead has taught hundreds of other attorneys how to achieve better results for their own clients. When asked about Brodhead, renowned defense attorney Tom Harper says, “Ben Brodhead zealously pursues even the most routine of cases with an innovative approach to common issues which other attorneys have subsequently tried to emulate. He is the consummate advocate in the best sense of that term.”
Brodhead explains that he truly enjoys the intellectual side of law and is pleased when his efforts and innovation can benefit others.
