Profile

Arthur A. ("Art") Gardner has been practicing Intellectual Property law in Atlanta for more than 20 years. Art leads the firm's litigation team in trial and appellate matters and manages a substantial IP prosecution docket. Representing clients ranging from the very large to the small, Art's practice includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, opinions and counseling, and IP litigation matters. Most of his patent prosecution work is in the mechanical, electrical and electromechanical arts. Art has served actively in bar-related activities, serving as Chair of both the Trademark and Litigation Committees of the IP Section of the State Bar. A mechanical engineering graduate of Georgia Tech, Art was a manufacturing engineer and computer systems analyst for Lockheed prior to becoming an IP lawyer in 1988.
